Canada is lovely, eh!

on other news... things are great. canada is beautiful. at least vancouver sure is. it feels like new york and europe had a baby. i explored a little yesterday - walking around the city, taking touristy pictures, and eating sushi. the people have been so kind and helpful. other than passing a restaurant called Papa Dave's Pizza & Indian Cuisine, i really have nothing negative to report.

our little group has been getting along great. last night was the first show --- and after smoothing out some kinks ahead of time, it went
great. susan & don both did so good - the audience loved them. so did i.

this morning we took a 2 hour ferry ride across to vancouver island to the city of victoria. it was a bit cold, but the scenery on the ride over was gorgeous. tonight we're staying at the cutest little bed & breakfast. my room is to die for! it's a fantastic little victorian suite - with a white canopy bed, crystal chandelier, fireplace that i can actually use, an elevated jacuzzi... AND fresh chocolate truffles they make daily for their guests! where am i?! seriously. the best part is i put in my order for breakfast tonight, and it will be delivered to my room tomorrow morning. i'm leaning towards the fruit crepes and fresh squeezed orange juice. i feel like a queen. i'm definitely gonna live it up tonight as im sure the rest of the tour accommodations won't be competing. don said, it looks like a room i should lock myself in and read jane austen for days on end.  he's right. i'll try and post a photo later of the room. below is a photo of the outside.

i'm writing from our venue for tonight's show. i just finished setting up the world vision stuff... and for now, i'm sitting in an empty and quiet auditorium. feels a bit like a calm before a storm. of course, it'll be the kind of storm you want to watch.

hope you guys are all well.

lots of love,
mel
