finally... some compensation for all this COLD

after much preparing myself (of what I was convinced to be) a VERY real possibility of losing a toe this winter, I'm thrilled to report - with all 10 toes in tact, might I add - that all irrational fears have been put to rest tonight. nashville had it's first real snow of the winter! i've felt like a giddy, (and no doubt, quite obnoxious) little kid all night long -- totally enamored by every detail. the cold weather has been a difficult adjustment to the familiar california decembers i'm used to, but suddenly it's more than welcomed. all the cold has been worth it for this sweet little phenomenon called snow. :) 

next investment: snazzy look-at-me-i-must-live-in-the-snow-gloves.

well, it's way past my bedtime now and the morning will come early (as it always does for me.) i'm sleeping at my aunt and uncles tonight so that my sweet cousins and i can try to go sledding early on before it melts away. . . hopefully, i'll have more photos of that on the next post. 

i'll be home this time next week!!
